Equipment

To keep in pace with an ever-changing fire service, the Russellville City Fire Department strives to maintain state-of-the-art equipment for personnel. On-duty firefighters operate out of a 2007 Pierce Contender Pumper which carries a complete set of extrication equipment, emergency medical supplies, and all front-line firefighting equipment. The second out Engine is a 1999 Pierce Saber Pumper equipped identical to the first out Engine. Along with the second out Engine is the 2012 Pierce 75' Ladder truck we obtained in April of 2012. The Fire Department also houses an Aerial, two reserve pumpers, an equipment truck, a HAZMAT trailer, and a command vehicle. The two engines and the ladder truck are all equipped with Thermal Imaging Cameras. In addition, the first out engine and command unit are equipped with Mobile Data Terminals that allow firefighters to access pertinent information prior to arrival and while on scene of an incident.

The above-mentioned descriptions only provide a brief overview of the equipment housed at Russellville City Fire Department. Citizens are encouraged to contact the Fire Department to arrange a complete tour of the department or for further information.
